OREANDA-NEWS. The volume of the EU technical aid to Belarus is hundreds of millions of euros, representative of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry Denis Sidorenko reported on Monday during "EU-Belarus: looking back and looking forward" presentation.

In his words, Belarus is interested in building a healthy relationship with the EU, jointly fighting illegal migration and strengthening border safety.

According to the source, the recent Eastern Partnership summit in Vilnius gave a fresh impetus to the dialogue between Belarus and the EU, especially in the spheres of visa regime simplification and readmission procedures.

The technical aid of the EU facilitates large-scale modernization projects, pilot energy projects, as well as the implementation of upgrading initiatives in the spheres of transport and environment preservation, Sidorenko noted.
