OREANDA-NEWS. March 14, 2014. This document aims to improve the competitiveness of agricultural and food sector as well as to provide rural development and contribute the sustainable development of Moldova.

The strategy sets out three priorities for agricultural and rural development for 2014-2020, increasing competitiveness of agricultural and food sector by modernizing and market integration; ensuring the sustainable management of natural resources; and improvement of quality of life in rural areas.

It is planned that implementation of the strategy will be aimed 11.4 billion lei. It is expected that implementation of the strategy will allow to increase the efficiency of production and processing of agricultural products, increase the share of agricultural products at the domestic and foreign markets, facilitate access to new markets, increase economic activity in rural areas, improve infrastructure, etc.
