Bank of Moscow Took Part in 11th Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum
OREANDA-NEWS. Mikhail Kuzovlev, President and Chairman of the Board of the Bank of Moscow, took part in the 11th Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum "Russia: New Growth Drivers".
Speaking at the plenary session of the forum, Mikhail Kuzovlev noted that investments in the field of housing and utilities should become a driver of economic growth. "To drive an inflow of capital into this field, it is important to ensure transparency of financial flows in the system of payment of utility bills. Single settlement centres should be created in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, which will strengthen control over payment of utility bills by the administrations of the constituent entities of Russia and municipalities. It would be reasonable to vest the functions of a financial operator in this payment model with banks, which will improve payment discipline during settlements for utility services," he said in his speech.
More than 5,000 participants were registered at the forum, representing 71 Russian regions and more than 30 countries of the world. The forum became a venue to discuss a new economic growth strategy of Russia and search for key solutions to ensure its sustainable growth. Besides, several important agreements involving territorial ministries were signed, and several projects and programmes implemented in Krasnoyarsk were presented.
