OREANDA-NEWS. March 13, 2014. The 9th Arbitration Appeal Court pronounced legitimacy of holding “Rosta” CJSC administratively liable and fined the company over 201 million RUB.

On 25th May 2012, the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) found that “Rosta” CJSC and “Pharmstandard” OJSC violated Clause 2 Part 1 Article 11 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition” through bid-rigging for purchasing medicines”.

“FAS pays considerable attention to one of the main principles of legal responsibility – inevitably of punishment. Violators should be aware that their unlawful actions shall inevitably result in administrative punishment – fine that can many times exceed profit from illegal activity”, pointed out the Head of FAS Anti-Cartel Department, Andrey Tenischev.
