Venezuela and Cuba Sign 56 Integration Projects
OREANDA-NEWS. Vice President Economic Area, Minister of Popular Power for Oil and Mining and President of Petroleos de Venezuela, SA (PDVSA), Rafael Ramirez, and the Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, Rodrigo Malmierca, from Cuba signed 56 investment projects and the Final Act of the XIV Intergovernmental Commission of bilateral cooperation to strengthen integration Venezuela - Cuba, at the headquarters of PDVSA La Campina.
Minister Ramirez said that in that way ended an extraordinary job. He highlighted the integrated work of both delegations" it has enabled further progress in building a relationship between brothers”. He also acknowledged the presence in the country of revolutionary brothers of the Cuban Republic Government.
The signed projects include the areas of health, education, agriculture, transport, construction, and culture, which support the development and welfare of the Venezuelan and Cuban people. Ministers for different areas of both countries attended the event.
The signing of the planned eight -Purpose Container Cargo Ships, was in charge of the General Commander of the Bolivarian Navy Gilberto Pinto and the Minister of Transportation from Cuba , Cesar Arocha . The aim is to solve the logistical problems associated with the Great Housing Mission Venezuela and Food Mission.
In agriculture, the Minister of Popular Power for Agriculture and Lands, Yvan Gil, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, Rogelio Polanco, signed a technical assistance, monitoring and strengthening project of the family agriculture and Multipurpose Greenhouses programs, project that will advance the construction of socialist agrarian model given in the Plan of the country.
Minister of Popular Power for Culture, Fidel Barbarito , was responsible for signing the draft Mission Culture contributing to technical and methodological advice of the different social actors involved in the strategies of socio- cultural development of the nation.
In education it was signed the Strengthening Education Policy project in the Subsystem Basic Education II under the Socialist Plan 2013-2019 , which will improve the quality of Venezuelan education . The agreement was signed by the Minister of Popular Power for Education and Vice social area, Hector Rodriguez , and the Republic of Cuba , Rogelio Polanco.
The People's Minister for Health, Francisco Armada and his Cuban counterpart Roberto Morales signed the project for preventive and corrective maintenance of 1,602 medical equipment in 28 hospitals and specialized technology training, and the Executive Secretary of Fonden with Cuban Minister Malmierca signed the Addendum to Credit agro industrial project, with which Cuba will able to optimize the implementation of projects in the agribusiness area.
Finally, PDVSA President Rafael Ramirez confirmed that the Joint Committee has innumerable benefits to the Venezuelan people, since “it establishes the principles and the formation of a new relationship between two companies that are busily and working on the construction of socialism.”
For his part, Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, Rodrigo Malmierca expressed his message of solidarity and support with the government and the people of Venezuela to the destabilizing attempts. "These right-wing forces supported by U.S. imperialism are forces that are bent on breaking the constitutional order in the country and reverse the social gains that the Venezuelan people have reached with their Bolivarian Revolution.”
