Tata Power Delhi Distribution Wins Best Practice Awards at IUKAN-2014

New Delhi: Tata Power Delhi Distribution has won two best practice awards at the 2nd annual conference of India Utility Knowledge & Networking Forum (IUKAN), organised at Le Meridien, Delhi, recently. IUKAN recognises industry-best practices from the power and water distribution utilities.
The best practice awards have been conferred on Tata Power Delhi Distribution for the following two categories:

The jury who evaluated the nominations were drawn from the IUKAN advisory and mentors, consisting of Prabhakar Kukde (ex-director Tata Power and ex-technical director of the Maharashtra State Electricity Board) and Reji Pillai (president, India Smart Grid Forum) for the power track, and Malini Shankar (Principal Secretary, Government of Maharashtra) and Srinivas Chary (dean, research and management studies at the Administrative Staff College of India) for the water track.
IUKAN forum is the initiative of pManifold, a utility-focused management consulting firm. This year's IUKAN conference was co-organised by Emergent Ventures India and was supported by GTL, NPCL and Enzen as associate partners. Creative Entrepreneurs, ADCC Infocad, Exceleron and eLink Software Technologies were associated as partner to utilities, while Accenture was the best practice showcase partner. Other partners for the event included NPTI, Council on Energy Environment and Water, India Water Foundation, India Electron Exchange, Alliance for Energy Efficient Economy, Asia Power Quality Initiative, India Smart Grid Forum, India Power Sector, Energetica, EA Waters and Attrait Solutions. The IUKAN 2014 awards ceremony saw a gathering of thought leaders, private operators, public utilities, vendors, regulators, urban local bodies and professionals working in an increasingly privatised utility sector.
