OREANDA-NEWS. OJSC “Magnit”, Russia's largest retailer (the “Company”; MICEX and LSE: MGNT) announces 25.22% retail sales growth in rubles for February 2014.

During February 2014 the Company opened (net) 78 stores. The total store base reached 8,207 stores (7,296 convenience stores, 162 hypermarkets, 48 “Magnit Family” stores and 701 cosmetics stores).

Preliminary consolidated unaudited net retail revenue (excl. VAT) in 2M 2014 increased by 25.22% in ruble terms (compared to 2M 2013) and stood at 104,138.56 million rubles.

According to Rosstat food inflation in February 2014 amounted to 1.2% compared to 0.8% in February 2013.
