OREANDA-NEWS.   An operational meeting took place in public company “Omsky Kauchuk” with participation of major services and subdivisions of the enterprise. The meeting was dedicated to the accident which took place in phenol-acetone workshop. Representatives of oversight bodies and specialized agencies became parties to the discussion.

As a consequence of the fire and a slam that followed, two of six oxidation columns were put offline in phenol-acetone workshop of the plant “Omsky Kauchuk”. Decision concerning possibility of further use of one more column will be made after an expert evaluation.

Now only the phenol-acetone workshop is out of service; other workshops of the plant are functioning in normal mode.

After conduct of damage evaluation one will take measures to restore functioning of phenol-acetone production. Also adjustment of production program will be made.
