OREANDA-NEWS.   Chongqing Changan Automobile will acquire Hefei Changan Automobile with about 440 million yuan.

The predecessor of Hefei Changan Automobile was Hefei Changhe Automobile and the shares of Hefei Changhe Automobile were transferred to China Changan Automobile. In June, 2010, China Changan Automobile built a base in Hefei to make an annual capacity of 15 thousand vehicles and the base began to produce in May, 2012.

On October 25, 2013, Hefei Changhe Automobile renamed itself Hefei Changan Automobile. According to Chongqing Changan Automobile, the purpose of acquiring is to expand the production capacity of its own brand sedans. In the coming 3 years, Chongqing Changan Automobile will make brand models of MINICX20 and Yuexiang. It is expected that the production and marketing number of three models of sedans will hit 17 thousand in 2014, 78.4 thousand in 2015 and 95.2 thousand in 2016 respectively.
