OREANDA-NEWS. EUROCEMENT Group upgrades its enterprises on an ongoing basis with a view to improving the quality of its products, reducing energy costs, improving environmental conditions and improving the production process flow. In February 2014, new railroad machinery, which costs a total of some RUR 33 million, was delivered to Ulyanovskcement.

Six new dump cars with a tonnage of 105 tons each will be used for transporting chalk and clay from pits to the enterprise. Such heavy-duty cars are able to withstand dynamic and static loads. The purchase of dump cars will allow making the supply of raw materials for production needs more stable, thus ensuring uninterruptible operation of rotating cement kilns during the production peak season.

Since 2010, more than RUR 460 million have been invested in the enterprise and the development of pits. Specifically, a 10 km long railway has been built connecting the chalk pit and the enterprise, significant investments have been made in core production, as well as the repair and rehabilitation of the electric filters of rotating kilns and fabric filters.
