OREANDA-NEWS. Belarus' Finance Ministry posted a republican budget surplus of 2.3 billion Belarusian rubles (Br) (U.S. USD 236.626 million at the NBB rate) in 2013, or 0.4% of GDP, an official with the Finance Ministry told.

The republican budget indicates spending and revenues of the central administration, whereas the consolidated budget also includes local budgets.

Republican budget revenues amounted to 105.8 trillion rubles (USD 10.885 billion) in 2013, or 100.8% of the target for the year.

Revenues from the value-added tax amounted to 56.2 trillion rubles (almost USD 5.782 billion, 100.8% of the year target), from income tax - Br21.5 trillion (USD 2.212 billion, 100.7%), from foreign economic activities 23.3 trillion rubles (USD 2.397bn), 100.6% of the target.

Republican budget expenditures reached 77.9 trillion rubles (around USD 8 billion), 96.3% of the target for 2012.
