OREANDA-NEWS.  SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev received Kazakh delegation led by Mangistau Region Governor (akim) Alik Aydarbayev.
Welcoming the guests, SOCAR President noted the dynamic development of relations between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan in all spheres and mentioned the huge potential for economic cooperation. Pointing out the developing relationship between the oilmen of the two countries, Mr. Abdullayev expressed confidence in further deepening of these relations

Mangistau Region Governor Alik Aydarbayev expressed gratitude for reception. Speaking about the purpose of his visit, the Governor said the business forum between Mangistau Region and Azerbaijani enterprises will establish additional opportunities for the development of relations. According to him, Mangistau Region occupies an important place in Kazakh industry. As he said, Kazakhstan is a country rich in natural resources and drilling, exploration, processing, and chemistry plays a crucial role in the country’s achievements. During the meeting, comprised of enterprises heads of Mangistau Region, businessmen from private industry and financial sector, and other sectors, attendees touched upon the cooperation between SOCAR and KazMunayGaz and noted the importance of developing relations between the two companies.

Mr. Abdullayev, President of SOCAR, provided detailed information about history of Azerbaijan's oil industry, as well as the implementation of global and regional importance in recent years, achievements gained within these projects. Briefing on the Company's new projects, Mr. Abdullayev noted the launch of Kazakh oil transportation via BTC main export pipeline and great success in logistics and cooperation on transit.

Afterwards, delegation of Mangistau Region expressed their will to attend Gobustan Regional Training Center which was positively accepted. The same day, the guests had an opportunity to visit the Center.
