OREANDA-NEWS. On February 27th of this year Uzbek-Korean business forum in the framework of the visit of the business delegation from the Republic of Korea led by the vice-president of the Korea International Trade Association (KITA) in Seoul An Hyunho and composed of representatives of more than 40 South Korean companies was held at the Tashkent International Hotel.

The event was organized side by the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Small Business and Entrepreneurship Export Promotion Fund from the Uzbek side. The business forum was also attended by representatives of the ministries and industrial agencies of the republic.

Speakers at the business forum noted that today the bilateral cooperation between Tashkent and Seoul is successfully developing in many areas, particularly in the fields of economy, trade and investment, which is also demonstrated by the current meeting of business circles of the two countries. It was emphasized that Uzbekistan is a key country in Central Asia and over the years has made major advances in economic progress.

Presentations on investment potentials of automobile, electro technical, chemical industries and production of building materials of the republic, as well as relative investment proposals were presented during the business forum. From the Korean side, representatives of the South Korean delegation made presentations about their companies.

As a result of business forum, Memorandum on mutual understanding between Small Business and Entrepreneurship Export Promotion Fund and Korea International Trade Association (KITA) was signed.

Upon completion of the event, cooperative exchange during which representatives of business circles of Uzbekistan and South Korea discussed the establishment of bilateral cooperation.
