OREANDA-NEWS. Bryansky Broiler, the operator of Miratorg's poultry project, put in operation an automatized slaughterhouse to process 12 thousand heads per hour.

Miratorg is developing vertically-integrated broiler chicken production aiming to produce 100 thousand tons of high-quality meat annually. The company invested more than 20 bln rubles to set up the production chain that includes crop division, feedmill plant, poultry operation sites, hatchery and high-tech meat-processing complex with a price tag of 8,5 bln rubles.

The slaughterhouse is equipped with the best in the class processing lines and fully complies with global standards of environmental security, safety and veterinary requirements.

"The scope of Miratorg's new project is impressing. It can be said with certainty: thanks to the company's nowadays projects, Russia will be able to compete with the world leaders in poultry production", - said Russian Agriculture Minister Nikolai Fyodorov.

"It should be mentioned that in 1990-91 - the golden era for Bryansk's district - the capacity of poultry meat production was 18 thousand tons per year. And Miratorg's slaughterhouse only is set to supply consumer market with 100 thousand tons of poultry meat annually - this project is unique not only for the region, but for the country. When it reaches full capacity we'll have а quality domestic affordable product" - said the governor of Bryansk district Nikolai Denin.

"The slaughterhouse is designed according to the best world standards for meat production and fully complies with the Russian industry regulation requirements. It is the Miratorg's poultry project key element. We provide more than 800 people with jobs, good salaries and social securities. The facility will reach full capacity in 2-3 months bringing the first products to Russian consumers. Such an intensive development of our projects in the region wouldn't be possible without the support of Federal authorities, the Agriculture Ministry, and of course the Bryansk district governor and government" - said the president of Miratorg Victor Linnik.
