The Uzexpocenter complex has launched international exhibitions “Construction - UzBuild-2014”, “Furniture, production Technologies, Interior and Design - MebelExpo Uzbekistan-2014” and “Systems of Heating and Ventilation, Conditioning, Water Supply, Plumbing and Swimming Pools - Aqua-Therm Tashkent- 2014”.

They are organized by the international exhibition company ITE Uzbekistan and its overseas partners in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Trade and Industry Chamber, the State Committee for Architecture and Construction, the Uzqurilishmateriallari stock company, and the Uzkommunkhizmat agency.

It was noted at the opening ceremony of the expositions that the spheres of construction and furniture production have been advancing dynamically, serving as an important factor in the further development of the country and the rise in the living standards of the population.

Extensive works have been steadfast in the construction and beautification area. Magnificent buildings and facilities, roads and bridges, residential housing, manufacturing enterprises, facilities of social infrastructure, engineering and communication systems are being built with an eye to contemporary requirements and national peculiarities.

In accordance with the Decree of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On the Intensification of Economic Reforms and Acceleration of Manufacturing Industry Development” signed 24 March 2005 and the resolution “On Additional Measures to Expand the Individual Housing Construction in Rural Areas on Model Design Projects” inked 17 June 2010, construction materials in wide range are being produced in the country.

The volumes of construction works mounting from one year to another, the growing requirements for living conditions and the interior necessitate consistent modernization of this sphere and introduction of modern technologies into the production process.

The international exhibitions held in the capital city in construction, furniture manufacturing, interior and design, heating systems and conditioning, water supply, plumbing and swimming pools open up extensive opportunities for the familiarization with cutting-edge technologies in given areas, and the establishment and consolidation of cooperation with new business partners, mutual exchange of expertise.

At the exhibitions UzBuild-2014 and Aqua-Therm Tashkent-2014, products and services are offered by more than 130 firms and companies from twenty nations, including Uzbekistan, Austria, Belarus, the United Arab Emirates, Germany, Greece, Denmark, South Korea, Spain, Italy, Canada, Poland, Russia, Finland, France, China, Switzerland and Iran. They specialize in the supply of construction materials, equipment, raw materials and spare parts for heating systems and the sale of core goods.

“Our company supplies construction equipment to more than fifteen countries of the world,” says Joanna Liu, manager of China-based Sunrise Industrial. “We have been in the Uzbek market for the fifth year, and for this period we have already been able to establish mutually advantageous business contacts with many local partners. Tremendous has been the contribution to the enhancement of this cooperation by the last year's UzBuild exhibition when our company took part for the first time. We are confident that the current construction exposition will allow us to establish new commercial ties.”

Organized for the fifteenth time in our country, the UzBuild exhibition is important in summing up the remarkable achievements made in the construction industry, in exchanging views and expertise among specialists in the sphere, and concluding mutually beneficial deals. The current exposition differs from those held previously in the diversity of offered goods and services. Visitors say they are particularly attracted to the great variety of construction materials and equipment, heating and ventilation systems, frames and doors, paint-and-lacquer materials, roofing items, flooring covers, earthenware and trim stones, concrete blocks, elevators, component parts, lightning equipment and other exponents.

The principal goal sought by the exhibition Aqua-Therm Tashkent is the satisfaction of demand in the field of systemic solutions for targeted segments in conditioning, heating, water supply in the construction and commissioning buildings. Its organization in Uzbekistan is especially important since our climatic conditions require the introduction of effective engineering solutions in heating supply, conditioning and water delivery.

At the third international exhibition Aqua-Therm Tashkent-2014, one can familiarize with the extensive range of goods offered by this industry. The stand of the domestic private enterprise VEN-KON demonstrates its products in the ventilation of air in big facilities. The visitors are also offered modern fountains in wide range produced by the Spain-based AstralPool.

“The wide-ranging creative endeavors undertaken in Uzbekistan open up broad opportunities for enhancing the cooperation in the construction industry,” says the representative official of the Special Agency of the Trade Chamber of Novara - E.V.A.E.T. (Italy) Alberto Calderano. “The mutually beneficial ties have been going from strength to strength between Italian manufacturers of plumbing equipment and construction accessories and Uzbek partners. It is the second time our companies take part in the exhibition Aqua-Therm Tashkent. Last year we reached deals with a range of Uzbek manufacturers, thus this year the number of participant companies has increased willing to establish cooperation in Uzbekistan. In the meantime, the range of offered goods has considerable expanded.”

The furniture production in Uzbekistan has been advancing in recent years with headlong speed, and the capacities of this sector of economy have been rising. As a result of using latest technologies at the enterprises, the range of products meeting world standards has been enlarging.

Organized for the eleventh time, the exhibition MebelExpo Uzbekistan- 2014 encompasses all the contemporary dimensions of the furniture industry and wood reprocessing. The goods presented at the exposition include home and office furniture, furniture mountings, equipment for their production and reprocessing of wood, interior and design items and many other products.

Seventy firms and companies from 13 countries present their goods at the exhibition. Among them are the Uzbek-Lithuanian joint venture Eman that specializes in the supply of furniture to Uzbekistan as well as raw materials and equipment for its production.

“The intensive advancement of the furniture industry in Uzbekistan conditions a great demand in the relevant high-tech hardware,” says A.Serikbaev, manager for foreign economic ties of the JV Eman Ltd. “We supply lathes for the manufacturing of furniture and accessories, wood processing and other types of equipment produced by leading foreign companies - Altendorf, Leitz, Krono. Our partners overseas are dedicated to the further expansion of cooperation with furniture manufacturers in Uzbekistan, and this exhibition is a convenient platform for the establishment of effective business contacts.”

The furniture products of various design manufactured in Uzbekistan is distinct with its high quality, competitiveness, robustness, and it is not inferior to foreign counterparts. Hence, the import of furniture to the country has been swiftly decreasing, while its exports are growing from day to day. The demand for the furniture produced in Uzbekistan has been mounting in the domestic as well as external markets, suggestive of the steadfast development of this industry.

“Owing to the support for private entrepreneurship being provided by the state, our enterprise produces quality and modern furniture,” director general of the Keng Makon Ltd. Hikmat Rahimov says. “By taking part in the exhibition MebelExpo Uzbekistan-2014, we have been able to access the international furniture market.”

These international expositions facilitate the examination of the supply and demand, enhancement of trade, attraction of foreign capital into our country and the development of manufacturing industry. As a result, new production capacities and joint ventures are expected to be introduced, while the exports potential and the international commercial ties of our country are to be bolstered to a greater extent.
