BT Expands Cloud Compute Service to India
OREANDA-NEWS. BT announced today the launch of its Cloud Compute service in India to help customers reap the benefits of cloud computing and meet regulatory demands.
BT Cloud Compute helps CIOs build powerful ‘pay as you go’ cloud solutions with high levels of quality, security and service delivered from BT. The service is available in 17 countries across four continents, including Hong Kong, China and Singapore in Asia.
It is currently used by companies spanning many industry sectors. For example, it allows life sciences companies to collaborate globally on crucial research and development projects and improve their speed to market. It is also used by leading international law firms to provide clients with fast access to legal and market know-how across Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific.
By extending Cloud Compute to India, BT will further improve the service for its local customers and help them comply with regulatory requirements by giving them control over where to host sensitive data.
BT research has shown that customers using BT Cloud Compute make an average saving of 40 per cent against traditional ways of working. By using BT’s advanced Cloud orchestration of infrastructure, network, applications and services, customers can align costs directly to their business needs.
