OREANDA-NEWS. Belorusneft seismologists completed 2D seismic acquisition at the Olansko-Iskrovskaya area.

It is located in the northern part of the Pripyat downfold and includes the republican natural reserves “Vydritsa”. The data was transferred for processing and interpretation to the engineering centre of Belorusneft - BelNIPIneft. According to the geologists, considerable oil reserves for commercial development may be concentrated within this area. The exploration of Olansko-Iskrovskaya area will allow to identify the boundaries of oil-bearing structures and determine the area of further work at this area.
