Freight One St. Petersburg Branch Increased Import Traffic
OREANDA-NEWS. The St. Petersburg Branch of JSC Freight One increased import traffic volume through the ports of Northwestern Russia by 57% to 215 thousand tonnes in 2013.
The traffic volume growth is due to active cooperation between the St. Petersburg Branch of Freight One and the ports of UCL Holding located in the Northwestern Federal District of Russia. Under cooperation with the holding companies, the volume of cargo transported reached 193 thousand tonnes, which contributed 89% of the total import traffic volume through the ports of Northwest Russia.
In particular, the traffic volume through JSC Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg increased by 51% to 108 thousand tonnes, the traffic volume through LLC Universal Transshipment Complex in Ust-Luga reached 85 tonnes, a 21% increase y-o-y.
