OREANDA-NEWS.  Prudential Financial’s best-in-class work life strategies and policies have earned the Work-Life Seal of Distinction by the WorldatWork’s Alliance for Work-Life Progress (AWLP). The Seal of Distinction is a unique mark of excellence designed to identify organizational success in work-life effectiveness.

“Our talented people drive our business success,” said Sharon Taylor, senior vice president, Prudential Corporate Human Resources. “This recognition further solidifies our reputation as a company where top performing people can excel in their professional lives while successfully managing their personal needs.”

Begun in 2012, the AWLP Seal of Distinction assesses the seven categories of work-life effectiveness that comprise a best-in-class work-life portfolio in today's workplace:

Caring for dependents
Health and wellness
Workplace flexibility
Financial support for economic security
Paid and unpaid time off
Community involvement
Transforming organizational culture
“There are two attributes that distinguish Prudential from the pack: innovation, and the sheer breadth of people practices at which they excel. Because earning the Work-Life Seal of Distinction requires applicants to demonstrate competency across seven distinct clusters of practices, programs and policies, this would seem to be an award custom-designed to showcase the firm at its multivariate best,” said Kathie Lingle, WLCP, executive director, WorldatWork’s Alliance for Work-Life Progress. “True to form, among the eleven recipients this year from the financial industry, Prudential ranks among the top 3 in dependent care, proactive approaches to health and wellness, community involvement, and – of course – leads the pack in the category we describe as financial support for economic security.”

“The firm’s leadership in the latter domain was already cemented last year when Prudential won the 2013 AWLP Innovative Excellence Award for their Work/Life Rewards Estimator; an extraordinary tool that the award selection committee concluded was the best example of work-life innovation we had seen in recent years. This year’s performance in the Work-Life Seal of Distinction competition only reinforces a stellar reputation that is well-earned,” said Lingle.
