OREANDA-NEWS. February 25, 2014. Due to strong demand on its Vilnius route, Turkish Airlines, the 4th largest carrier in Europe, will increase its flights between Vilnius and Istanbul as from April 2014. Effective from the 28th of April, the schedule will increase from 3 weekly to 6 weekly flights.

The additional three flights will operate on a Mondays, Wednesdays and Sundays using Airbus 319 and Airbus 320 aircrafts, which are configured for two classes; Business and Economy.

Serkan BINYAR, said: “The increase in our flights from Vilnius is a direct response to strong demand we saw since the start of our service in June 2013. Turkish Airlines has had a strong year in 2013 in Vilnius and will have three more flight to serve Istanbul. We also serve the most popular destinations in the Middle East, the Far East, Africa and Europe. The increased frequency will provide our passengers convenient departure times and better connections from Vilnius via Istanbul.”

Great success of Turkish Airlines has been caused not only by the existing demand, but also by highly proficient start of operations in Vilnius, including precise preparations for the launch of the flight, as well as strong and focused marketing strategy”.
