OREANDA-NEWS. TRL Krosaki Refractories, Belpahar, has recently constructed sanitation facilities at the privately managed Manoj Padhi High School in Sarandamal, Lakhanpur. More than 60 percent of the school's students are in the SC / ST category. The facility has toilets, bathrooms and water tanks for the school children. The project was constructed by the community development and social welfare department of the company with an expenditure of Rs1,98,000. Earlier, the company had constructed a 20-bed hostel with all basic amenities for the school. The company, under its project 'Nirman', is developing infrastructure in the nearby areas. In addition to constructions, the company also provided basic amenities like benches, desks, cots, solar lights and safe drinking water facilities to various schools in the Lakhanpur block. Such facilities are aimed at boosting education for SC and ST communities in the area.

The company has also distributed 164 metal storage bins for food grains to the spouses of SC and ST farmers in Jharmuda, Pikol, Bijadih, Sonari, and Ranpur in January and February this year. Metal storage bins are distributed to SC and ST ladies by the community development and social welfare department of TRL Krosaki under its project 'Sanchaya - the save grain campaign'.

TRL Krosaki under its Tata Affirmative Action Programme is taking several initiatives in the field of education and employability, employment and entrepreneurship, to benefit the SC and ST communities of Lakhanpur block in Jharsuguda district.
