Memoranda of measures to stabilize prices for light wheat flour bread and first grade flour in the regions will be signed among the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Akimats and JSC "NC" Food Contract Corporation" by the decision of the State Commission for Economic Modernization of Kazakhstan to prevent a surge in prices for first grade flour and bread.
Food corporation’s resources will allocate more than 500 thousand tons of cheap grain as part of these memoranda. Corn is allocated by local executive bodies for flour-grinding organizations at a fixed price of 30 000 tenge (inclusive of VAT) per ton. Shipment period is from February 17, 2014 to August 2014.
Under the terms of the memorandum, the city administration determines grain processing enterprises with appropriate industrial infrastructure, material and human resources through appropriate procedures. They will purchase the grain at a fixed price for its further processing into flour and supplying bakeries with flour at fixed prices.
These measures will ensure stability of prices for bread and first grade flour, and provide livestock enterprises and family farms with cheaper scalping.
