OREANDA-NEWS.  February 21, 2014. Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, visited the "TANECO" Refinery and Petrochemical Plants Complex. The visit took place within the framework of the working visit of the Republic Leader to the Nizhnekamsk Municipal District.

During the visit Rustam Minnikhanov was accompanied by Nail Maganov, General Director of JSC TATNEFT, Boris Petrov, Head of the Volga Rostecknadzor, Aydar Metshin, Head of the Nizhnekamsk Municipal District, Leonid Alekhin, General Director of JSC "TANECO” and other officials.

The President participated in the Council Session of the Nizhnekamsk Municipal District and the city of Nizhnekamsk. Aydar Metshin, Mayor of the City, emphasized in his report the enormous contribution made by JSC TATNEFT in the social and economic development of the territory. In particular, he pointed out that the efforts of the oilmen had allowed for upgrading and enhancing the capacity of the tire manufacturing complex, which TATNEFT had in aggregate invested more than 30 billion rubles to. The construction of the "TANECO" Complex was carried out in the difficult economic period and it performed the role of an anti-crisis project for the whole Republic of Tatarstan. Significant investments had been made in housing construction, health care development, as well as in education, culture and sports.

Further on the President visited the production site of the combined hydrocracking installation of the Refinery and Petrochemical Plants Complex. As of February 18 they produced about 75,000 tons of   "Euro-5" standard diesel fuel here operating in the equipment comprehensive testing mode. The total volume of raw materials processed at "TANECO" since the operation beginning amounted to more than 17.5 million tons. Production of light petroleum products taking hydrocracking into account amounted to 67.37 percent in January.

The President visited the control rooms of the hydrogen production and hydrocracking installations. He talked with the staff and highly praised the joint activities of the professionals of JSC TATNEFT, JSC “TANECO", construction companies and organizations responsible for the facilities commissioning, which had ensured putting into operation such a significant and technologically complex facility within a short time period.
