OREANDA-NEWS.  February 21, 2014. According to the data of JSC "Moscow United Electric Grid Company" (MOESK), in 2013 the consumption of electricity in the area of the company responsibility was 88,215.3 kWh. This is 1.5% more than in 2012. It should be noted that in general for Russia, the electricity consumption rate over the past year decreased by 0.6% compared with 2012.

Despite the slight decline in electricity consumption in Russia in general, in the Moscow region, this figure for several years continues to grow steadily. This is primarily due to the dynamic development of the region. Besides, "MOESK" is working on the development of the grids. The capacity of existing substations grows, new feeding centers are constructed.

Growth in the number of grid connection contracts (GC) should be noted. In 2013, new customer service centers MOESK were opened in Moscow and the Moscow Area, the schedule of their working hours was optimized. For customer convenience, the opportunity appeared to apply for grid connection electronically through the GC portal. As a result, in 2013 JSC "MOESK" entered into more than 71 thousand contracts for grid connection, which is almost twice as large as in 2012.

Last year, the specialists of MOESK noted stable operation of the grid complex of the Moscow Region in its area of responsibility. Electric grid equipment of the company worked without significant technological disturbances affecting the system reliability.
