Herman Gref, President and Chairman of the Board of Sberbank, commented: “We were actively developing in 2013, and since the beginning of this year the Bank has also seen deposit inflows from the customers in both corporate and retail sectors.
The situation in our subsidiary bank is stable; the management provided a good supply of liquidity last year. We fully meet all the standards of the National Bank, including capital adequacy rate. We are very closely monitoring the situation in Ukraine. It is one of the most important markets for us. Sberbank came to Ukraine with a long-term view, and long-term relationships with our customers and partners are very important for us. We will continue to monitor developments in the market and, if necessary, will take action to support our subsidiary bank in Ukraine. Nevertheless, we are confident in the prosperous future of the country”.
