Candidates for Supervisory Board of Eesti Pank Presented in Estonia
OREANDA-NEWS. February 20, 2014. Mart Laar, Chair of the Eesti Pank Supervisory Board, presented the candidates for the new Supervisory Board to the Riigikogu for approval. The candidates are Kalev Kallo, Kaie Kerem, Enn Listra, Rein Minka, Jaanus Tamkivi, Liina Tonisson and Urmas Varblane.
Mr Laar noted that politicians from the parliament made up a smaller proportion of the proposed new board than has been the case in the past. He explained his conviction that the new board will be able to manage its duties. “The make-up of the board is designed for sustainability and the board will be able to handle all its current responsibilities and to carry out the oversight function that it has been given.”
