Renaissance Capital Appoints Head of Trading in London
OREANDA-NEWS. Renaissance Capital, a leading emerging- and frontier-markets investment bank, has appointed David George as Managing Director, Head of London Trading.
Starting in March, David will be based in London, reporting to Renaissance Capital's Global Head of Equities, Ben Samuels; and will work closely with the Firm's Global Head of Sales Trading Chris Lantos in London, its Head of Russian Equity Trading Alexei Bachurin in Russia, and Head of Africa Execution Rob Kay in South Africa, to ensure Renaissance delivers seamless execution across its platform to clients. David will support the Firm's efforts to grow its Turkey and CEE businesses, and also will play an important role in frontier markets as it expands into the MENA region.
Prior to joining Renaissance, David had nearly 20 years of experience in emerging markets. He spent 13 years at Merrill Lynch, the last five of which were heading the EM trading desk. Most recently, he spent seven years at Goldman Sachs, where his last role was Chief Operational Officer of the emerging markets equity business.

Among its recent hires are Robert Lamprecht, who joined the Firm as Head of African Sales; Amr Aboushaban (Vice President in Equities Sales team) Harry Stanford (Director in Equity Sales Trading in London) and Ozlem Turgay (Equity Sales in the Firm's Istanbul office).
