OREANDA-NEWS. On 11-14 February 2014, specialists of HR services of all structural divisions of “KazTransOil” JSC, users of SAP/R3 system, had corporate training in the central office of the company. The participants were presented new capabilities of such projects as “Personnel Administration” and “Human Capital Management”. A round table to discuss urgent issues of HR was arranged as part of the training.

SAP/R3 system allows automating key business processes, including those related to personnel management. Thus, “Personnel Administration” and “Human Capital Management” projects enable one to automate selection and evaluation of personnel, improve such business processes of ensuring comprehensive development of the company's employees as how to model reserve personnel, establish a target reservist profile, plan a career, secure succession, define target training, and upgrade skills.

The round table participants reviewed issues on how to further expand the possibilities of using SAP automated program and integrate its modules, as well as identified the ways for improving the HR policy of “KazTransOil” JSC.

Director of the Human Resources Management Department of “KazTransOil” JSC Serik Akbergenov spoke on the results of the analysis of staff quantitative and qualitative composition and turnover carried out in the company. He marked such positive developments as stability of the company team (38% of its employees have worked for more than 10 years) and better employee satisfaction.

The task on planning and preparing the required number of highly qualified specialists and production workers, taking into account the prospects for development of the company and its subsidiaries was identified as one of the priorities.

In the course of the discussion the HR specialists of the branches of “KazTransOil” JSC stressed that human capital is a foundation for long-term development and competitiveness improvement of the company, which seeks to enhance the professionalism of its employees and create conditions of social security and stability in the team.

Speaking about the future work, Mr. Akbergenov noted that “KazTransOil” JSC was considering the staff as an important resource capable to provide competitive advantages and leadership positions of the company. Projects introduced in the company will help HR managers to more effectively implement goals and objectives of the HR policy.

The outcome of corporate training and round table once again confirmed the expediency of such events to be held on a regular basis in order to maintain a high qualification level of specialists in the area of personnel management, exchange experience and knowledge, and successfully meet challenges facing the company.
