OREANDA-NEWS. A UTair Aviation team will participate in the Civil Aviation Day Games 2014, the 9th annual international aviation industry games to take place at the Krylatskoe Sport Palace Dinamo in Moscow on February 22-23, 2014.

The UTair team consists of 34 members coming from the seven cities in the airline's base network and includes flight attendants, pilots, financial specialists and aircraft engineers.

The Civil Aviation Day 2014 Games are supported by the Russian Ministry of Transport and the Federal Air Transport Agency and includes eight events, with competitions in arena football, volleyball, ping pong, chess, darts, table hockey, table football, and a VIP poker-tournament.

UTair Aviation holds annual sport competitions, including ping pong, football, chess, marksmanship, volleyball, swimming, skiing and basketball. UTair also has a long history of participation in trade and regional sporting events as a component of promoting a healthy lifestyle and team spirit.

The UTair team has come home the winner in many sporting events, also earning the prize in silver series of Civil Aviation Day. UTair veterans are displaying the same winning spirit as well: they are leading in the Tyumen veteran volleyball tournament at present.

UTair Aviation ranks among the top three Russian airlines. In 2013 UTair aircraft transported 9,625,295 passengers. The airline operates more than 150 fixed wing aircraft and performs flights to 110 destinations in Russia and aboard. The airline maintains its central hub at Vnukovo International Airport in Moscow, from which it performs 100 flights daily.

Civil Aviation Day 2014 is an international industry sports festival and part of the AVIALIGA sports movement for professionals in the aviation industry. The AVIALIGA project is supported by the Russian Ministry of Transport and the Federal Air Transport Agency.
