OREANDA-NEWS.  February 19, 2014. Coal output in Central China's Shanxi province climbed 5.3% year on year to 962.57 million metric tons in 2013, sources reported.

Coal sales to enterprises outside the province increased by 34.22 million metric tons or 5.88% year on year to 615.95 million metric tons last year.
 
The coal industry recorded a combined profit of RMB 23.23 billion in the year, reflecting a plunge of 55.37% year on year, due to falling coal prices.
 
The coal industry's sales revenue increased 17.40% year on year to RMB 1.42 trillion in the period. The province's top five coal producers realized RMB 1.04 trillion in revenue, 18.51% more than in the previous year.

The coal industry paid RMB 115 billion of taxes last year, representing a decline of 12.42% year on year.
