OREANDA-NEWS.  February 19, 2014. Prime Minister Serik Akhmetov held a meeting on the implementation of the President's instructions read during enlarged cabinet meeting.

Opening the meeting, the Prime Minister stressed the need for clear and concrete measures to implement the orders of the President.

In this regard, S. Akhmetov instructed authorized public organs "to ensure strict implementation of all orders of the President in full."

The Prime Minister announced the main activities of the Government on the implementation of assignments. In particular, issues relating to the devaluation of the national currency, S. Akhmetov noted the need "to ensure the stability of prices for basic foodstuffs and socially important goods, fuel, medicines, and to prevent shortages of products and unjustified growth of tariffs for monopolist services.”

The Prime Minister announced the decision to supply flour mills of the regions with bread grain at fixed prices. Also, municipal services prices will be frozen up to May 1.

"Specific measures have already been identified, now we have to implement them, to establish stringent control over their implementation," S. Akhmetov said.

Along with this, he instructed "MEBP, ARNM together with interested government agencies to develop a set of measures to determine the policy in regulated prices and tariffs sphere."

The Prime Minister also touched upon the issue of the Common Retirement Fund (CRF).

"CRF has been created by the cabinet decision. Currently we are actively working on transferring pension savings to it. I ask the National Bank to speed up this process so that CFR has already started to work effectively. Moreover, it is necessary to inform people about this work," S. Akhmetov said.

As is known, the President instructed to allocate USD1 trillion tenge from the National Fund in the period 2014-2015 to ensure the growth of the economy. In this regard, the Prime Minister instructed the authorized state agencies to "develop a concrete mechanism for financing priority programs of industrialization, projects of manufacturing industry, small and medium-sized businesses crediting."

In order to simplify administrative procedures in the field of entrepreneurship, S. Akhmetov ordered to audit all legal acts regulating the business environment up to June 1 of the current year.

The Prime Minister also ordered to revise "existing conditions for attracting investments into the country."

"We must have a clear plan to attract foreign and domestic investment. It is necessary to determine the list of top multinational companies for each priority sector and to develop strategies to attract each of them. All obstacles that impede investor should be removed," S. Akhmetov considers.

Drawing the attention of members of the cabinet to the importance of geological exploration, S. Akhmetov instructed MINT and MOG to propose on creation of a separate state structure in charge of this area.

Along with this, the Prime Minister gave a number of other instructions to authorized state agencies directed to the implementation of the President's instructions.

"Overall, the enlarged cabinet meeting with the participation of the President will result in signing an appropriate protocol where specific executives and periods are identified," S. Akhmetov summed.
