OREANDA-NEWS. February 18, 2014. Changes in prices of petrol in Kazakhstan during the first quarter of this year are not expected, the Chairman of the Agency on Regulation of Natural Monopolies Murat Ospanov said.

"Government regulation applies to petrol AI-80, AI-92 and 93 as well as diesel fuel. The price of petrol AI-95, AI-96 and AI-98 is not regulated and is formed in a competitive market. I want to note that overpricing of oil products by retailers is forbidden," M. Ospanov said at CCS briefing.

It should be noted that the current price of petrol today, for example, A-92 is 115 tenge per liter, A-80 -89 tenge per liter, diesel fuel -102 tenge per liter.

"As we have said before, changes in the levels of current prices during the first quarter of this year are not expected," the head of the ARNM stated.
