OREANDA-NEWS.  February 18, 2014. Russian Agricultural Bank (RusAg) held a meeting of potential investors with the Saratov region Administration. Valeriy Radaev, Governor of the Saratov region, Nikolay Pankov, Head of the State Duma Committee for Agriculture, Dmitry Patrushev, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Russian Agricultural Bank, took part in the meeting.

The round table was also attended by business representatives and the Bank’s clients interested in investments to the region’s economy.

This is another meeting in a series of round tables organized by RusAg between the regional business representatives and potential investors from among the Bank’s clients. This round table became an opportunity for the region’s administration to present its economic potential and the measures taken by regional authorities for business support. Valeriy Radaev said that the Saratov region has significant potential for developing agribusiness, production, processing, and food industries and is one of most attractive regions of the Volga Federal District in terms of investments.

Summarizing the results of the meeting, the participants noted substantial development prospects of the region’s economy and demonstrated interest in cooperation. Nikolay Pankov drew attention to the special role of RusAg that takes active part in investment lending, project finance and SME development.

“Russian Agricultural Bank takes consistent steps aimed at increasing the investment attractiveness of Russian regions. Such open dialogues between the business and regional authorities promote regional economic growth, creation of business climate and improvement of the living standards of the population”, - Dmitry Patrushev said.
