OREANDA-NEWS.  February 17, 2014. During the Government’s session there was endorsed a resolution on prolonging the pilot project on state regulation of prices for medicines from hypertension.

The Minister of Healthcare of Ukraine Rayisa Bohatyryova informed during a teleconference at the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine called “Results and prospects of introducing the state regulation of prices for medical means for hypertensive patients and patients with diabetes”.

According to her, apart from furthering of the term of realization the project the resolution envisages an opportunity to reimburse to the drugstores the cost of medications sold in December of 2013. “Moreover, the Government’s resolution envisages transition of a medicine from the II to the I group on reimbursement of its cost, which facilitates reducing prices for such medicines and raises the level of availability and providing the patients with them,” the Minister stressed.

Besides, Rayisa Bohatyryova stressed that the State Budget of Ukraine for 2014 contained the fund for subvention to the local budgets for the partial reimbursement of the cost of medications for the patients with hypertension in the amount of UAH 191 636.3 thousand.
