New Simulator Supports Vale's Railway Operations in Mozambique
OREANDA-NEWS. A new simulator is supporting Vale's railway operations in Mozambique. The TDS-5000 model, used in engineering studies and workforce training, was created to simulate operational environments and allow analysis of different conditions. The equipment can be used in employee training for roles such as locomotive engineers, assistants and technicians.
The equipment is portable and can be transported to different locations. At the moment it is at the Port of Beira, but it will also attend to the demands of the Sena Railway line and the Nacala Corridor, in Mozambique and Malawi.
The TDS-5000 also helps to improve railway security by introducing more investigative techniques when assessing the causes of accidents. On top of this, it can be configured for different types of locomotives, tracks and railway cars, which means that simulations can more accurately mirror real operations.
