OREANDA-NEWS. February 14, 2014. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, within January, 2013 – January, 2014 it made 5.1%. January, 2013 saw the 0.9% inflation in Moldova. Within January, 2012- January, 2013 it was 4.7%. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, in January, 2014 prices for foodstuff went 1.4% up, prices for nonfoods increased 0.4% ; tariffs for services grew 0.3%. IN January 2014, the grapes and fresh vegetables went 10% up each.

In particular, the price went up 22.9% for onions, 16.6% for cabbages, 14.1% for tomatoes, 10.1% for carrots, 4.1% for cucumbers. It grew 6.5% for potatoes, 2.6% for bacon, 2.1% for fruit, 1.8% for lamb, 1.6% for milk and dairy products. In particular, the milk price increased 2.3%, the soar and sweet cream price went 1.8% up, the cottage cheese price climbed 1.6% and the cheese one increased 1.3%. The by-product prices rose 1.2%.

At the same time, in January 2014 the prices for sugar and vegetable oil went down 1.8% and 1.7% respectively. As for nonfoods, in the reporting period, the price went up 2.3% for sanitary products, 2% for cameras and video cameras, 1.7% for motor cars, 1.6% for hygiene items, 1.1% for household appliances, 1% for printed materials, 0.7% for medicines, 0.1% for cloths, fuel and coal and 1.7% for cigarettes.

The price went down for fur cloths for men by 1.2%, for swimsuits, winter high boots, sport suits, millinery, DVD players and fans by 0.1%-06%. January 2014 saw a growth in the healthcare insurance policy by 22.2%, in the hostel rent and the taxi fare by 2.4%. Prices for international railway transportation increased 2%. Catering services in canteens and restaurants went up in price by 1.9% and 1/3% respectively. The flat rent grew 1.4%, the air transportation tariffs increasing 0.6%. At the same time, the kindergarten fee dropped 0.1%.
