OREANDA-NEWS. February 14, 2014. Tele2, an alternative mobile operator, has introduced universal numbers of emergency services. Now Tele2 subscribers will be able to call for firefighting service, police and ambulance by dialing short numbers.

The new system of numbers was introduced following the decree by the Russian Ministry of Communications. Under new regulations, certain short numbers are attached to the following emergency services:

101 – firefighting and emergency response service;

102 ? police;

103 ? ambulance;

104 – gas supply system emergency service.

Besides, in case of emergency Tele2 subscribers may call for universal rescue service by dialing “112” short number.

New three-digit numbers, unlike traditional “01”, “02”, “03” и “04”, can be used in both mobile and fixed-line networks.

Preparation works and tuning a new system will be completed in all Tele2-penetrated regions.
