OREANDA-NEWS. February 13, 2014. No.57-FZ Federal Law “On the Procedures of Foreign Investments in the Economic Entities of Strategic Importance for the National Defence and State Security” made changes in the part of strategic types of activities.

Article 6 of No.57-FZ Federal Law specified the types of activities of strategic importance for the national defence and state security. Until recently the list of such activities included 42 items; on 4th February 2014 the following activities were added to the list:

Evaluating vulnerability of the transport infrastructure facilities and the means of transport by specialized organizations

Protecting the transport infrastructure facilities and the means of transport by transport security units from the acts of unlawful intervention

Certifying support of transportation security by the certifying authorities in accordance with the law of the Russian Federation on transport security.

As summed up the Head of FAS Department for Control over Foreign Investments, Armen Khanyan, the addenda are determined by the changes to No.16-FZ on transport security.

Changes to No.57-FZ are made by No. 15-FZ Federal Law “On Introducing Changes to Some Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation on Providing Transport Security” of 03.02.2014.
