OREANDA-NEWS. Renaissance Capital, the leading Emerging Markets & Frontiers investment bank, has successfully opened its 5th Annual Pan-Africa Investor Conference in Lagos, Nigeria. This year the conference will welcome around 400 guests, including 200 investors representing both global and frontier funds, along with senior management from Africa's largest corporates, and high-level government authorities including Nigeria's Coordinating Minister/Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo Iweala.

The three-day conference will include both meetings with senior management from Africa's leading companies and site visits across Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana and other important African countries. The 2014 Pan-Africa Investor Conference is expected to encompass around 650 meetings not including site visits. This key access in local markets will continue to encourage further investment in Africa's fast-growing markets.

“In the mid-2000s, we were confident Africa would become one of the most promising points on the world's economic map; and after eight years of building our business in Nigeria, South Africa and Kenya, we are still confident we made the right decision,” said Igor Vayn, Renaissance Capital's Chief Executive Officer “The progress achieved by major African economies, and in particular Nigeria, is very impressive, and we believe these are only the first steps in a huge, growing story for the next decades.”
