OREANDA-NEWS. On January 13-17, 2014, Blagoveschensk Valves Plant (JSC BVP, Blagoveschensk, Bashkortostan, a part of United Metallurgical Company, CJSC OMK) passed an inspection for a license which will allow it to design and manufacture equipment for nuclear power plants for 5 years. During the inspection (held by the Volga Interregional Territorial Directorate for Nuclear and Radiation Safety Supervision), the information available in substantiating documents, which were submitted by the plant for the license, was proven credible. Also, the design documentation and metrological testing standards were verified at random, and the availability of documents on the quality management system and on production and software equipment was confirmed.

“The inspection will allow Blagoveschensk Valves Plant to receive a certificate to design and manufacture equipment for nuclear power plants already in the second quarter of 2014, thus enhancing the product range and broadening sales markets,” said BVP Managing Director Alexander Kozhevnikov.
