Market Shares of Nordea Pension Funds Strongly Increase in 2013
OREANDA-NEWS. February 12, 2014. The fund assets’ capacity of Nordea pension funds increased by approximately 38% compared to last year, which is twice as much as the whole pension fund market increase.
Within a year, Nordea’s market share of the 2nd pillar pension funds increased by approximately 14% and the market share of 3rd pillar by 34%. The whole market share remained around 4,8% and the asset volume surpassed 90 million euros.
2013 was a successful year for pension funds whereas the most effective production was achieved among aggressive 2nd pillar strategies and 3rd pillar pension funds. The production of Aktsiad 100, 3rd pillar fund investor with a 100% auction investment capacity, remained 14,22%; the best 2nd pillar pension fund was A Pluss, with a 75% auction investment capacity, with a result of 9,56%. The production of low risk investments remained almost negative due to the increase of interest rates.
According to the head of Nordea Pensions Estonia AS Angelika Tagel, in 2013, Nordea managed to make the right choices and the approved global strategies justified themselves. As a result, compared to last year, the market share increased in terms of clients as well as funds’ asset volume. “It is also very important that we have also invested more than half of the ownership equity into Nordea pension funds and are pleased about the results together with our 30 000 clients,” she added.
In the end of 2013, the ownership investment into pension funds amounted up to 2,63 million euros and within a year, the assets of the fund owner of Nordea pension funds increased by 5,6%.
Fund owner’s business income in 2013 was 1,26 million euros, business expenses 0,91 million euros and operating profit 0,36 million euros.
Nordea pension fund owner Nordea Pensions Estonia AS started operating in 2008 and today owns four 2nd pillar and two 3rd pillar pension funds.
