OREANDA-NEWS. February 11, 2014. Iberia Airlines recently announced that this summer it will increase the frequency of its flights between Chicago O'Hare International Airport and Madrid Barajas Airport.

Iberia will operate ten frequencies a week between June and August 2014, three more than what is currently offered. The majority of Iberia flights on the Chicago-Madrid route are operated with a new Airbus A330 aircraft that emits 15 percent less CO2 than the aircraft it replaces and which is equipped with new Business and Tourist class cabins.

Specifically, to the daily flight that Iberia operates between the two cities, an additional flight will be added on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

*From June 16th to the 27th will operate Thursdays, Friday and Sundays.

The schedule of the additional flights allows connections in the T4 of Madrid-Barajas to more than 70 destinations that Iberia offers in Spain, Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

According to Iberia, the Airbus A330s bring a new and much more efficient operating model to Iberia's long-haul routes.

Iberia operates to more than 90 destinations in some 36 countries. For more information, please visit www.iberia.com
