Belarusian Premier Sees No Sign of Economic Growth in Belarus
OREANDA-NEWS. The market is recovering very slowly and the economic growth has not picked up yet. Belarusian Premier Mikhail Myasnikovich made a statement to this effect while presenting a report to President Alexander Lukashenko.
At the same time, the potash industry and mechanical engineering are showing good sales growth. The backlogs of inventory have fallen a bit: by Br5.5 trillion (USD 570.54 at NBB rate) as compared to the middle of last year. Today they constitute about 70% of the monthly production output. However, major companies such as BelAZ, MAZ, and MTZ have still high backlogs of inventory.
Lukashenko demanded that the government should take adequate measures and suggest personnel reshuffle proposals, if necessary.
