OREANDA-NEWS. February 10, 2014. The Bank of Moscow delegation headed by President — Chairman of the Board Mikhail Kuzovlev paid a visit to Saint Petersburg. During his visit Mikhail Kuzovlev had a meeting with Georgy Poltavchenko, Governor of Saint Petersburg.

At the meeting there was a discussion of the Bank of Moscow possibilities to take part in the development of the Northern capital transportation infrastructure. In particular, there was a discussion of the Bank of Moscow suggestions to finance and service contracts for construction work in Saint Petersburg Metro as well as contracts for the development of public bicycle rental.

The Bank of Moscow has a significant experience in financing of large-scale resource-intensive projects in the field of development of transportation infrastructure in metropolitan area. The Bank is also ready to apply its successful experience in realizing such projects in Saint Petersburg.

Besides, the meeting with Governor of Saint Petersburg enabled to summarize the first results of cooperation within the framework of an Agreement signed in June 2013. Projects that were implemented in cooperation with the city administration include the financing of reconstruction of energy grid and utility network of water pipeline in Saint Petersburg, as well as support of organizations involved in transportation construction and industrial and civil construction.

A subsidiary of the Bank of Moscow in Saint Petersburg was opened on January 29, 1999. Within the period of its operation in Saint Petersburg the subsidiary earned the reputation of a reliable financial partner for legal entities and individuals in the North-Western region. At present more than 200 thousand residents of the North-Western Federal District are the subsidiary’s clients, and the total number of corporate clients is about 12 thousand. The Saint Petersburg subsidiary cooperates with the largest regional enterprises including enterprises of the North-Western Federal District in the field of energy, industrial construction, production enterprises, fruit and vegetables importers, duty-free shops.
