UTair Named Most Punctual Airline at Ben Gurion International Airport
OREANDA-NEWS. UTair Aviation was acknowledged as the 2013 leader in flight regularity at the Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel-Aviv, Israel. This is the first time in the history of Israel's capital airport that this recognition was given to a Russian airline.
These outstanding results were achieved through the consistency and well-coordinated performance of UTair Aviation services and those of its subsidiaries with operations at Ben Gurion International Airport. UTair Aviation operates weekly direct flights to Tel-Aviv from Samara and Ufa with Boeing 737-500 aircraft.
Flight regularity is determined by the ratio between flights performed without delays and the total quantity of flights performed in a given period. The consistency on schedule flights operated by UTair and its subsidiary UTair-Express has also been recognized on multiple occasions during the monthly monitoring of the Russian Aviation Authority and the country's largest airports.
UTair Aviation ranks among the top three Russian airlines. In 2013 UTair Aviation aircraft transported 9,625,295 passengers, while the entire UTair Group air fleet transported 10,413,803 passengers. UTair Aviation operates more than 150 fixed wing aircraft and performs flights to 110 destinations in Russia and aboard. The airline maintains its central hub at Vnukovo International Airport in Moscow, from which it performs more than 100 flights daily.
