Production in December 2013
Domestic production: 54,638 units (up 16.7% year-on-year)
Overseas production: 10,090 units (down 16.2% year-on-year)
Total: 64,728 units (up 9.8% year-on-year).

Production in Jan-Dec 2013
Domestic production: 639,756 units (up 12.5% year-on-year)
Overseas production: 169,163 units (down 8.5% year-on-year)
Total: 808,919 units (up 7.4% year-on-year).

Led by strong demand for the Forester, domestic production rose year on year for the 12th consecutive month. While overseas production posted a year-on-year decline for the 8th straight month, total global production grew year on year for the 12th consecutive month.

Japan Sales in December 2013
Passenger vehicles: 8,561 units (down 24.2% year-on-year)
Mini vehicles: 3,935 units (up 36.4% year-on-year)
Total: 12,496 units (down 11.9% year-on-year).

Japan Sales in Jan-Dec 2013
Passenger vehicles: 125,969 units (up 16.6% year-on-year)
Mini vehicles: 54,849 units (down 21.2% year-on-year)
Total: 180,818 units (up 1.7% year-on-year)

Domestic sales of passenger vehicles posted the 2nd straight month of year-on-year decrease due to a reactionary fall from the previous year's new Forester launch as well as supply shortages of high-demand models, mainly the Impreza series. Mini-vehicle sales rose year on year for the 4th consecutive month, while total Japan sales dropped year on year for the 2nd month in a row.

With continued high demand for the Impreza series including the Subaru XV as well as a boost by the new Forester launch, both passenger vehicle and total sales marked the 2nd consecutive year of growth.

Export in December 2013: 46,164 units (up 42.7% year-on-year)
Export in Jan-Dec 2013: 471,072 units (up 24.2% year-on-year)
