Kazakhstan Takes Part in Eurasian Economic Commission Meeting
OREANDA-NEWS. February 05, 2014. A regular meeting of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission has been held in Moscow. The Kazakh side was headed by First Deputy Prime Minister Bakhytzhan Sagintayev.
Council members discussed the progress of the work on the draft Agreement on the Eurasian Economic Union taking into account the provisions on the further development of integration.
They also discussed issues related to the light industry, competition and antitrust regulation, agricultural policy of the Customs Union and Single Economic Space. In particular, the meeting considered the draft agreement on the protection of confidential information and the responsibility for its disclosure in the process of monitoring of compliance with common rules of competition by the Eurasian Economic Commission.
According to First Deputy Prime Minister B.Sagintayev, the priority of the Eurasian Economic Commission is to meet the interests of the participating countries. " We see that our countries work together to accelerate the development of the economies, create new industries and sectors, and respectively, increase the range of goods and services, simplify their movement within the common economic space, create new jobs," he added.
