OREANDA-NEWS. February 05, 2014. Quality control function of local roads construction will be transferred to the Committee for Roads of the Transport and Communications Ministry.

This was announced by the head of the Transport and Communications Ministry Askar Zhumagaliyev at CCS briefing under the President.

"Ministry of Transport and Communications is engaged in control of national roads construction, but we still do not have such credentials in terms of controlling the local roads. But according to the instructions of the Prime Minister we have to delegate these authorities," A. Zhumagaliyev said.

According to him, currently legal documentation for the transfer of authority is being developed. After its approval by the Committee for Roads, MTC will monitor the quality of local roads construction.
