Kazakhstan to Finance Vocational and Higher Education
OREANDA-NEWS. February 04, 2014. It is planned to finance vocational and higher education on the basis of the demand for personnel within the framework of the program of forced industrial-innovative development, Minister of Education and Science Aslan Sarinzhipov has said at the meeting of the staff.
In addition, he noted that by the end of the year a number of fundamental changes would be made in the system of vocational education aimed at implementing the priorities of the industrialization program.
"On the basis of new professional standards there will be developed curricula that meet current requirements of employers," the minister noted.
"In August of this year the state standard in the field of vocational education will be amended in order to enshrine in law in-service training. Until the end of the year it is planned to develop models of training companies," he said.
As a result the proportion of graduates certified by the community of employers will reach 25%.
