OREANDA-NEWS. This is the planned scope of Belorusneft exploration drilling in 2014.

These figures are put into the company's exploration schedule. We are planning to finish the construction of the key well No. 1 “Predrechitskaya” and the exploratory well No. 5 “Zapadno-Kalininskaya”. These plans, as well as exploration geologists' prospective activity areas in the Prypiat downfold for 2013-2015, have been discussed during a meeting of engineering and economic experts in Gomel. Ms. Galina Volchuga, Deputy minister of natural resources and environmental protection, other experts from the ministry, and experts from the national enterprise “Geology R&D Centre” and Belorusneft took part in the event.

The participants noted successful drilling of 6 new exploratory wells in 2013 and the discovery of Zapadno-Kalininskoye oil field. Major field seismic exploration operations have been implemented both in 2D and 3D. The structural and dynamic interpretation performed allowed to prepare Yuzhno-Tishkovskaya, Vostochno-Ostashkovichskaya and Girovskaya pre-salt oil traps for deep drilling.

We are planning to perform 2D and 3D seismic surveys within Yuzhnaya, Olansko-Iskrovskaya, Ugolskaya, Yuzhno-Rechitzkaya areas, within the Rechitzkoye field and the Vostochno-Makanovichskaya structure, in order to reveal oil-bearing structures, to prepare them for deep-hole drilling and to itemize the field structures.
